MLG began working with Syracuse Community Hotel Restoration Company on concepts for the restoration and alterations to the Hotel Syracuse, designed in 1921 by George B. Post & Sons and placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.  Alterations will include enlargement of guestrooms and reconfiguration of public spaces, including the restoration of the Lobby, Parisian Room and the historic Grand Ballroom on the upper levels.

“Inspired nostalgia” is the theme of Gemini Real Estate Advisor’s Jade Hotel brand.  MLG has been working with Gemini and Atelier & Co., designers, on the renovation of the 72-key boutique hotel at 33 Peck Slip in Seaport Historic District in downtown Manhattan.  In addition to public space alterations, ADA guestroom upgrades and other interior renovations, numerous exterior renovations recently received unanimous approval from the city’s Landmarks Preservation Commission.

One of a handful of landmarked interior spaces in New York is at 25 Broadway. Originally designed by  Benjamin Wistar Morris with  Carrere & Hastings as the Ticketing Hall for the Cunard Line, and for a time used by the US Postal Service,  Cipriani USA, Inc. have leased the space for conversion into an event space with on-site catering facilities.  In this case as well, the alterations, for which MLG are the architects, were enthusiastically endorsed by the Landmarks Preservation Commission.
