Mohegan Sun - Phase I

In 1994, The Mohegan Tribe and Kerzner International spearheaded the first phase of the Mohegan Sun Casino, a $350 million, twelve-month fast-tracked project located along the Thames River in Uncasville, Connecticut. The Master Plan and entertainment program for this 240-acre site consisted of the retrofitting of an existing 400,000 square foot nuclear propulsion manufacturing facility into a 1.4 million square foot casino complex. It features a new 600,000 square foot casino building on two levels that supports 3,800 gaming positions, 180 gaming tables and a 1,500-seat bingo hall with over 400,000 square feet of parking. The project includes seven restaurants, supporting entertainment and retail areas.
